You the merchant remain responsible for ensuring your customers leave product reviews.

Once a product review has been left and approved Upzelo will be updated and the points will be awarded to the customer, should they be eligible to receive this reward.

How many points should I award for a customer who leaves a review?

Typically, 50-100 points for a text review and more for a media review. With a 10 points per £/$1 points-to-conversion reward across the site, this equates to a further 50pence/cents reward for reviews.

Encouraging customers to complete more "non-spending" points actions is key to increasing their engagement and driving the next purchase, but without giving away too many points without making another purchase or advancing through the tiers of the program.

Can I award extra points for a customer who leaves a review with media / UGC?

Yes, Upzelo provides two ways for customers to earn points when a review is left. To do so, please create two earning rules. Once for Reviews and another for Reviews with Media (this would be if a photo or a video is left with the review).

Why do customers experience a delay in receiving points for their reviews?

Sometimes, review providers need to take a few minutes to process or verify the review before they send it to Upzelo as an action for processing points. This is especially true when a review has a video, as this is often converted or processed for displaying on in-store. Expect reviews to typically take 3-5 minutes to show on the customer's page inside Upzelo, and in customer-facing experiences such as the wallet pass or launcher.
